How the Architectural Designer and Client Relationship Works Through Abrigo Home
At Amy Dutton Home, we have always deeply valued the architectural designer/client relationship, and Amy was worried that she would miss that connection as Abrigo Home takes off. But in our testing the virtual consultation time with a number of Abrigo clients, Amy has learned that it is equally fulfilling.
When you purchase a consultation or customization time, you will be asked to provide us with important information, such as your address, so that we can Google images and online information on the property. You can also provide us with your biggest questions, goals, and any images you want us to have. We already know each other a bit when we start our meeting, and the time is super productive.
During the meeting, you can show Amy around your house or property on Zoom – however it works best for you. For example, Amy has helped one couple decide how to renovate their kitchen by removing walls and a fireplace to gain the much-needed space. She quickly sketched (not to scale, of course) a proposed floor plan and then emailed it over to them. Simple as that!
Another example is helping a woman define how to renovate the exterior of her home to upgrade the materials. Amy shared her screen, and while she took notes, Amy showed her siding options, narrowing down her siding selection as well as trim and decking packages. They then discussed landscaping ideas, advice, and concepts. With all this information and links to products, the customer is now an educated consumer with a plan as she steps into the renovation world.
Typically, Amy likes to hold a brief conversation about budget and goals to make sure your conversation is on point with realistic expectations. While Abrigo doesn’t determine budgets, Amy feels responsible for leading you in the right direction of what is attainable and appropriate.
With Abrigo Home, we now get to reach more people! Amy and her team see inside and out of many homes in a day and find this fun and inspiring. Remember, Amy’s been doing this for a long time and thinks very visually, so it’s not hard for her to jump through the computer and imagine standing next to you.
